Take me out the the ballgame!

Makayla and Corbin are both on t-ball teams this year.
Makayla is an Angel.
Corbin is a Cub.

That means every Tuesday and Thursday in June, we have watched two t-ball games each night.
Let me tell you, it is thrilling!
There are no outs.
There are no points.
Everyone gets a base hit.
Thrilling!

The best night was when the kids' teams played against each other.
On the way to the game, Corbin said,
"Kayla, you are going down!"

  Makayla played 3rd base.

Corbin played 1st.

Corbin got a great hit too but the video was not clear at all.
Believe me when I say, it was quite the game!

A weekend away

We went to Rexburg this weekend to see Olivia get baptized.  T
he kids were thrilled...
not only did they get to spend lots of time with cousins playing in grandma's backyard,
but they also got to see the baptism.
Makayla is counting the days until it is her turn
(March 2014 can not come soon enough for her)

Olivia looked beautiful in her new white dress.
Makayla got a new dress from Grandma O. and wanted to wear it to the baptism.
While I was curling her hair, Ryan commented she looked like she was the one getting baptized.
She said, "No, when you get baptized, you have to pull your hair all back."
Good to know for future reference. :)

Later that afternoon, we went to the Rexburg Carousel.

Waiting our turn.

Fun times!

Pretty in Pink?

Makayla and her friends were being silly and decided to make Makayla completely pink.
Pink arms, pink legs and pink face.

 Crazy girl!

Taste of Summer

Eating watermelon makes it feel like summer.

Kayla decided to become more civilized and use a fork. :)

Memorial Day

On Memorial Day we decided to pack a lunch and go on a nature walk.
We invited Rex and Dessa to go with us.

We saw some water:

Climbed up (and slid down) some rocks:

Went off the beaten path:

Blew dandelions:

Posed for a picture to prove we were also there:

and headed home for ice cream sandwiches:

We also stopped by a few graves to pay our respects to those who came before us:

All is all, a pretty good day!
